Biography - Sasha Alexander
Sasha Alexander, of ethnic Serbian descendant, was born Suzana S. Drobnjakovic in Los Angeles, California. In the seventh grade, she started acting in school productions. She was also an ice skater, but was unable to continue because of a knee injury. She continued acting through high school and university, then moved to New York to act in the summer stock and Shakespeare festival. She was a graduate of the University of Southern Calif's School of Cinema-Television, where she was a part of the sorority Kappa Alpha Theta. Sasha began her acting career in high school. She made her stage debut in seventh grade. When she was 14 years old, she joined 'Everything Nice', a pop band. Sasha Alexander's most memorable performance was as 'Special Agent Caitlin in the popular television series 'NCIS. She played the character during the second season 2003-2005. While the character she played died an accidental death onscreen, Sasha reappeared in the similar role for a brief time in the third (2005 guest appearance) and ninth (2012) seasons. She got married Edoardo Ponti (an Italian director and father of Sophia Loren). The wedding took place on August 11 on the 11th of August in 2007. They had two children, daughter Lucia born in 2006 and son Leonardo who was born in 2010.
