Morgan was born to Pamela Morgan (age 30) Morgan and Michael Morgan on July 2 1989. She was raised by her parents in Diamond Bar, Los Angeles. Morgan was a multi-sport athlete throughout her childhood but didn't really like soccer until she was 14. Morgan took part in the 2008 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup where she scored four goals and receiving an Olympic gold medal, along with other accolades.Morgan was then recruited by the national team's senior squad, who she replaced and scored several important goals. One of these was winning goals against Italy that helped earn the U.S. a place in the 2011 World Cup. Morgan was the youngest player on the team and helped the team win against France. Morgan, despite U.S. losing to Japan in the final World Cup match, became the first American player to score both an assist or a goal.
