Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was born in Dallas,
Texas, to Gayle (Gaston) she was a national director at Mary Kay, and Freddie
Wright an executive in the field of pharmaceuticals. She grew up in San Diego,
California. She started her career at the age of 14 when she began modeling.
She has worked in Paris, Japan and Paris. When she finished high school, she
decided to become an actor. She was cast on the soap opera Santa Barbara
(1984), for which she was nominated three times for a Daytime Emmy. Dane
Witherspoon was her fellow cast member, and she was married to him in 1986. In
1987, she was the title role in The Princess Bride. Following her departure
from Santa Barbara, she was offered the lead in Denial (1990), alongside Jason
Patric. She was introduced to Sean Penn in 1990 while she was in State of Grace
(1990). They had one daughter Dylan Frances with him and an infant son named
Hopper Jack. Robin came back to Hollywood after a hiatus with one of her most
memorable roles: Tara in The Playboys (1992). She was extremely stunning and
brilliant. Then, she appeared in Toys (1992) in Toys (1992) alongside Robin
Williams, and she gave a funny performance. Wright was in the blockbuster
success Forrest Gump (1994) with Tom Hanks. In recognition of her performance
as Jenny she earned her nominated for a Golden Globe Award. The film offered
her a small role in The Crossing Guard (1995), with Jack Nicholson. After she
turned down 14 roles she was offered the lead role in MGM/UA’s Moll Flanders
(1996). The film was directed by Pen Densham and featured Morgan Freeman,
Stockard Channing, and Morgan Freeman. In the following film, she co-starred
with William Hurt in Erin Dignam’s Loved (1997).
